The Church We See
The church we see is Set Free by the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord. Set free from the chains that once held us; into a glorious freedom where we are empowered, resourced and encouraged, so that we can reach our full potential in Christ and become all we were created to be. We see a church that is united in its pursuit of living a life free from both the power and penalty of sin by the grace of God. This is the church we see.
We see a church that Christ loved, continues to love and gave Himself to redeem; actively Living Free made possible by the Holy Spirit. We see a church where His word is front and centre and where the Lord Jesus is loved, glorified, exalted, worshiped and adored forever.
We see a church that is Living Free through our worship; where we will sing to our Lord a new song, in an atmosphere that is vibrant and Spirit filled, where creativity and inspiration are encouraged and championed, where the gifts of the Holy Spirit are intentionally pursued and exercised. This is the church we see.
We see a church whose mission is to Bring Freedom to our friends, families, communities, nations and the world in which we live. Being honest that we all fall short of God’s righteous standards but are actively seeking, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to live lives that are pleasing and acceptable to the Father and that are a good example of Godly living to those around us.
We see a Church that lives as a family and warmly welcomes, serves, honours and encourages everyone from all generations, nationalities and neighbourhoods. It’s a place where anyone and everyone can encounter God and find Jesus as Saviour, Lord and Friend. We see a church that is diligent in following the Great Commandment of loving God and one another and is intentionally living out the Great Commission in Bringing Freedom to all, so that we can further build his kingdom. This is the church we see.

We belong to the Free Methodist Church denomination. An exciting, evangelical, Wesleyan movement.
GARSTANG FMC
Our "Mother" church, is Garstang Free Methodist church. They are the church that had the vision and calling for planting Light and Life Church into Thornton. They bless us with both guidance and resource and ultimately we come under their leadership and council. Check out their website.
